Porcupine Quill Earrings | Handmade, Afro-Indigenous Veteran-Made Jewelry

North American Porcupine Quill earrings handmade by professional artist, mixed Afro-Indigenous Medicine Woman and Disabled Combat Veteran Siobhan Kekoa. This design carries on the tradition passed to me by my Elder, Shadowhawke Garnett, from my Grandmother Tomiki Bear and through our lineage. Many of the seed beads included in these earrings are antiques and have been in Siobhan Kekoa's Indigenous Wabanaki family for many years.

These delicate and beautiful earrings are lightweight, and need to be handled with great care. The sanitized, hand-washed and trimmed quills are hollow and can be easily dented, bent or broken. Please store the earrings in the box you have received them in when not wearing, as hanging them may cause the quills to fray or separate from the string.

Earrings and quills will vary slightly in length, size and coloration from the image depicted, as each are made to order. There are four segments per earring, woven together from one. The porcupine quills are washed, trimmed and threaded by me, and many of the beads are antiques. Earring hooks are hypoallergenic.
